Description
Nos. 27 and 28 Queen Street are a pair of mid-18th century houses set back behind a forecourt. They rise four storeys above a high basement, with No. 27 featuring three windows and No. 28 featuring five windows. The buildings are constructed of red brick, which has segmental window arches and a moulded brick cornice below the top storey, made of yellow brick. Both houses have painted doorcases with engaged Ionic columns and pediments, and there are plain railings leading to the steps and front area. No. 27 has altered glazing, while No. 28 has a plain, irregular return. The interior of No. 28 is unusually fine and has seen little alteration.
