Description
No. 22 Queen Street is an office block and shop built in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick in Flemish bond, accented with stone dressings, and features a hipped slate roof. It stands four storeys tall over a basement and includes two flat-arched dormers. The façade has a three-window range, with a shop front that has pilasters at the party walls. All openings are flat arched and have architraves; those on the second and third floors are shouldered with aprons to the spandrels and include sill bands. An entablature with a projecting cornice completes the design. There is a stack on the left party wall. This building forms a group with No. 65 Cannon Street and Nos. 39-53 Queen Victoria Street.
