WEST SMITHFIELD EC1 1. 5002 Gatehouse to Church of St Bartholomew the Great (Formerly listed with No 57) TQ 3181 NE 2/18 4.1.50.

  1. C13 west door of south aisle to nave survives as gateway to churchyard with later superstructure, early C17. Richly moulded arch, much renewed on its outer side. Small, blind arch in walling to south. 2 storeyed upper part timber framed with renewed mullioned and transomed windows. Big eaves-cornice and small timbered gable with window to tiled roof. Staircase wing at rear dated 1932.
