Description

The listed building comprises Nos. 43, 44, 45, 46 Cloth Fair, and No. 51 Barley Mow Passage, in London. Dating to the later 18th century, the group now has short returns. Nos. 43 and 44 have two windows each, while No. 45 has three. The building is constructed of yellow brick with red brick arches, although the top-storey windows of Nos. 43 and 44 have modern lintels. A parapet defines the roofline. Nos. 43 and 44 have a simple, pilastered shop front. No. 45 features a more elaborate shop front with a passageway to the side. No. 51, in Barley Mow Passage, is an earlier building, probably dating to the 18th century or before, constructed of red brick. It has a good, late 18th-century shop front, with a bay window and a patterned fanlight above the door.
