Description
Number 12 Austin Friars, built in 1883 by E Gruning, is a four-storey building with a garret above a basement. It features three windows and is constructed of red brick, with the ground floor having a channelled appearance. The doorway is adorned with a large stone hood supported on brackets. The windows on the ground and first floors have stucco surrounds, while the second floor windows are framed by rubbed red brick architraves. Above the second floor, there is a richly modelled modillion cornice, and the attic includes plain pedimented dormer windows. Additionally, ornamental rectangular panels are located beneath the second floor windows.
