Description
Nos 1 and 3 Finch Lane, built in the late 19th century, are a pair of adjoining buildings that stand four and three storeys tall, comprising a total of 14 bays. They are constructed of red brick, accented with stone bands and dressings. The ground storey features a unifying stone facade with rectangular windows set between channelled piers, which are adorned with bearded masks and terms. Above this, there is a richly carved frieze decorated with scrolling foliage. The building is topped with a dentil cornice that is interrupted by semi-circular pediments that frame lion masks, along with a segmental pediment that includes a cartouche and another lion mask.
