Description

No. 48 Cornhill is a late 18th-century building constructed of red brick. It stands five storeys tall with an attic and features three bays. The ground floor has a 19th-century shop front that includes slender pilasters, curved glazing, and a simple fascia. There is a hanging sign supported by a wrought iron bracket. The building has recessed sash windows with flat gauged brick heads, although the glazing bars are present only on the fourth floor. At the top, there is a plain coped parapet in front of a slated mansard roof that includes a dormer.
