Description

Mount Vernon House is a detached house built around 1726 by W Knight, with alterations made in the early 19th century and later additions. The house is of stucco construction and has a tiled mansard roof, while a later extension features a slated roof with projecting eaves. It is two stories high and originally had five windows, with a two-window extension added to the south side in the early 19th century. The windows in the original section of the house are sash windows with segmental heads, recessed frames, and exposed boxing. Later alterations include the addition of a glazed timber porch. The interior has not been inspected. Victoria County History details the house's history.
