Description

30 Eton Avenue is a detached house built in 1898, designed by Amos Faulkner and constructed by William Willett & Son. Timber framing was added in 1925. The house is built of red brick with tile hanging and timber framing, and has a tiled hipped and gabled roof featuring tall brick chimney stacks with moulded cornices and dormers. It is asymmetrical in design, with two storeys and an attic.

The fenestration is irregular, featuring transom and mullion windows with glazing bars. The first floor windows have half-timbered aprons. The entrance bay is gabled and half-timbered with a tiled porch hood, above which is a three-light window. To the right is a narrow gabled bay, followed by a two-storey, six-light canted bay. To the left of the entrance is a two-storey, five-light flat bowed bay, which supports a half-timbered gable with an oculus set within a timber rectangle and carved bargeboards; the first floor is tile-hung. A canted bowed bay is present on the right-hand return. The interior of the house was not inspected.
