Description
2 and 3 South Grove are two terraced houses with later shops, built in the early 18th century. Number 2 has been refaced in the late 20th century. The houses are constructed of multi-coloured stock brick. Number 2 features a roof that has been replaced with a late 20th-century tile-faced penthouse, while Number 3 has a tiled roof and a dormer. Both houses are two storeys high with attics and have one window each. There are single-storey early 19th-century shops in the forecourt, with Number 2 being significantly altered. Both houses have late 20th-century flush frame sashes. Number 3 retains its original parapet with a balustraded panel in front of the dormer, whereas Number 2 has a late 20th-century wrought-iron panel inserted. The interiors have not been inspected.
