Description
Number 23 is a terraced house dating from around 1750, possibly built by JI Devall. It is constructed of darkened yellow stock brick and features a stone band at the first floor level. The building has three storeys and a basement, with three windows. The stone entrance includes an architrave, a plain frieze, a cornice, and a panelled door. The recessed sash windows have gauged brick flat arches, with some retaining original glazing bars. Below the repaired brick parapet, there is a stone bracketed cornice. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to retain good original features, including some panelled rooms and fireplaces. The house is accompanied by attached cast-iron railings with urn finials in front of the areas.
