Description

This is a late 19th-century commercial timber yard and associated premises located in Camden. The main building is of red brick with stucco dressings and a ground floor, standing three storeys high with a cellar. It has two windows facing the street. The ground floor features pilasters with enriched capitals, supporting an entablature with a dentil cornice and flanked by paired, modified consoles. The entrance to the yard is on the left-hand side, while the window to the right has a panelled apron and altered glazing. Pilasters with enriched capitals continue upwards through the first and second floors, carrying the entablature and projecting cornice. Louvred window openings with stucco surrounds are present on the first and second floors. Attached to the rear are open timber storage sheds, the first floor of which is primarily supported by cast-iron columns with mushroom capitals, and which have pantiled hipped roofs. An area to the left may have originally been used as stables. The interior retains some original fixtures and fittings.
