Description

This is a terrace of ten houses, numbers 29 to 38, built between 1794 and 1810 by G Slaton and G Golden. The houses are constructed of darkened, multicoloured brick with later patching, and have a plain stucco band at the level of the first-floor sills. They have slated mansard roofs with dormers, and stand three storeys high, with attics and basements. Each house has two windows.

Nos. 29 to 34 have doorways with round arches, reeded surrounds, cornice heads, fanlights (Nos. 29, 31, 33, and 34 with patterned fanlights), and panelled doors. No. 32 features a reeded stucco surround and a keystone. Nos. 35 to 38 have square-headed doorways with stucco surrounds incorporating pilasters and modified cornices, radial fanlights (Nos. 35 and 38), and panelled doors. The recessed sash windows in Nos. 29 to 34 have glazed bars. Nos. 32 to 38 have cast-iron balconies to the first-floor windows. The buildings have stucco cornices and blocking courses.

The interiors were not inspected. Attached to the front are cast-iron railings with urn finials marking the areas.
