Description

This is a row of three terraced houses, numbers 14, 16, and 18 Monmouth Street, dating from the late 17th century and altered in the 19th century. The facade is multi-coloured stock brick with yellow patching, and a brick band runs along the third floor. Numbers 16 and 18 have slate mansard roofs with dormers, and all three houses have attics and cellars. They are four storeys high, with two windows each. Number 14 has a mid-19th century wooden shopfront with arched lights above the shop window. Numbers 16 and 18 have 20th-century shopfronts replicating the style of number 14. Gauged brick flat arches feature over the recessed sash windows. A parapet tops the building. The interiors were not inspected.
