Description

Numbers 7 and 8 are two terraced houses built in 1697, with later alterations to their fronts and interiors.

No. 7 has been altered in the 19th century and features yellow stock brick with a stucco ground floor. It has brick bands at the second floor and parapet levels, and consists of three storeys, a basement, and an attic with rebuilt dormers. The house has four windows and a wooden doorcase with carved consoles supporting a hood. It includes a 20th-century radial fanlight and a panelled door, with gauged red brick flat arches above almost flush-frame sashes. The house has a parapet and the interior, which was not inspected, is noted to retain some panelling and good fireplaces, along with an 18th-century ceiling in the first-floor front room.

No. 8 was altered in 1808 and is constructed of brown brick with a rusticated stone-faced ground floor. It also has brick bands at the second floor and parapet levels, and features three storeys and a basement. The house has three windows, stone pilasters, and an entablature with a tablet inscribed "Warwick House" at the ground floor. The entrance, made of timber and glass, has a panelled door. The first floor includes stone niches instead of side windows and a central three-light recessed window with a segmental-headed architrave and a griffon on the keystone. An iron window guard with an urn on a pedestal is positioned on either side of this window. The second floor has gauged red brick flat arches and dressings to flush frame windows. The parapet features a concave cornice in decorative brick. The interior of No. 8 was not inspected.

Both houses have attached cast-iron railings with urn finials to their areas.
