Description

No. 5 Great Russell Street is a terraced house built in 1764 for the Bedford Estate. Although it is now isolated, it was originally part of a row with Nos 8-12. The building was refronted around 1850 and features brick construction with a mid-19th century stucco front. It stands four storeys high and has two windows. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front. The first floor showcases 4-pane sash windows set in moulded architraves with cornices. There are rusticated pilaster strips on the sides, a string course at the third storey level, and a moulded cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
