FORNHAM ST GENEVIEVE Agent's and Head Gardener's Houses at Fornham Park and attached walls

Two semi-detached houses. c.1785. By James Wyatt for Sir Charles Kent. Gault brick with parapeted hipped slate roofs and gault brick ridge stacks. 2 storeys. Facade to stable court is symmetrical with projecting end bays. Central part has 3 6/3 sashes over 2 6/6 sashes and doorway to right with panelled double doors (top panels glazed) and diamond-paned overlight. Flat hood over. Projecting ends have recessed rectangular brick panels at first floor over a blocked window to left and a tripartite window to right recessed within a blind arch. Gault brick garden and yard walls to right end and rear. INTERIOR. Only Agent's house inspected. Retains upper part of staircase and landing balustrade with stick balusters. Panelled doors. Forms part of a significant group at Fornham Park.
