Description

Albert Buildings is a terrace of four houses built in 1840. The white brick exterior is accentuated by stone detailing, and the roof is slate with a wide, plain eaves soffit. The building is two storeys high with cellars, and has an eight-window front, with the central two windows projecting slightly. The windows are 12-pane sashes with margin glazing on the first floor, and small-paned windows with semicircular heads on the ground floor, all with stone surrounds and impost blocks. A stone band between the floors bears the inscription "ALBERT BUILDINGS 1840" across the centre. The four doorways have four-panel doors with flush panels and semicircular fanlights with radiating glazing-bars, set within semicircular brick surrounds with stone impost blocks. The interior was not inspected.
