Description

No. 17 Out Westgate is a house dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of white brick and features a fully hipped slate roof with a wide plain eaves soffit. The building has three storeys and a cellar, with a three-window range. The ground and first storeys have 12-pane sash windows, while the second storey has 9-pane sash windows, all set in plain reveals with flat gauged arches. One window on each of the upper storeys is blocked. To the left of the front, there is a six-panel door with a semicircular fanlight, framed by a plain semicircular brick surround with stone impost blocks. A large internal chimney stack has a plain shaft, and there is a cast-iron foot-scraper by the entrance door. The interior has not been inspected.
