Description

The Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century. It has two storeys and features a two-cell end-chimney plan. The building is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a clay pantiled roof. There is a plain red brick chimney stack located externally on the south gable wall. Each storey has two 2-light casement windows, which have two cross-bars in the lights and are set into pointed-arched Gothick surrounds. The entrance consists of a plank door with applied fillet strips. On the south side, there is a single-storey extension built with matching materials, which includes a stable door and a 20th-century 3-light casement window.
