Description
The terrace walls and steps to the garden front of Culford Hall date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from yellow brick and stone. The low brick retaining walls feature plain stone copings and are topped with 11 stone ball finials, which are spaced at intervals. There is a short flight of stone steps on the south side and another on the west side, each accompanied by pairs of stone urns at the top and bottom of the handrails. The upper urns are decorated with horned satyr heads and acanthus leaves, while the lower urns display festoons of flowers. Additionally, there is a matching short stretch of wall on the west side that includes a flight of steps with two stone ball finials at the bottom of the handrails and three urns with horned satyr heads placed along the coping of the wall.
