Description
Triangle House is a former farmhouse dating from the 17th century. It has two storeys and attics, built in a three-cell plan. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof. There is a single-storey 19th-century extension at the front, constructed from flint and red brick, featuring a black glazed pantiled roof that partially projects in a hip. Inside, there is a chimney stack with three attached hexagonal shafts. The ground floor has two 4-light 19th-century barred casement windows, while the upper storey has two similar 3-light windows. A 20th-century half-glazed door is present, with a flat porch roof above it, supported by carved brackets. This building was once known as Austin's Farm, where the poet Robert Bloomfield worked as a boy.
