Description
Drift House is a former farmhouse that was extended and divided into three cottages around 1840, later reduced to two, and now functions as a single house. The building dates back to the early 17th century and features one and a half storeys with a basic three-cell lobby-entrance plan. The main range is timber-framed and plastered, while the rear extension is made of red brick from the 19th century, accompanied by single-storey lean-to additions on both the east and west sides. The roofs are covered with black glazed pantiles, with the rear featuring three small gabled ranges. Inside, there is an internal chimney stack with a plain rebuilt red brick shaft dated 1840, which is finished in plaster. The house has 20th-century small-paned casements and two gabled dormers, along with a 20th-century door. A detailed description, including plans, sections, and photographs, is available with the National Monuments Record.
