Description
No. 101 is a house built in 1724, as indicated by the wrought iron numerals fixed to the gables. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring a timber-framed structure that is rough-cast rendered, with gable ends made of gault and pink brick. The parapet gables have a string course at the attic floor level. The roof is covered with concrete tiles and includes hipped dormers and gable chimneys made of gault brick. There are 18th and 19th century mullioned and transomed casements.
In the mid-19th century, a one-storey gabled extension made of painted brick with a slated roof was added to the front. The entrance features a pair of two-panelled partly-glazed doors flanked by shop windows. At the rear, there is an original two-storey wing that includes an axial chimney and a gault brick parapet-gable.
