Description

The White Cottage is a house dating from the 17th or 18th century, with 19th-century alterations. It has 1½ storeys and attics, featuring a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. The structure is timber-framed and rough-cast rendered, topped with a pantiled roof that includes 19th-century axial and gable chimneys made of gault brick. There is a gabled pantiled casement dormer, and the windows are 2- and 3-light 19th-century casements. The entrance has a four-panelled door with a gabled canopy. Additionally, a higher right-hand extension of one cell was added in the 19th century.
