Description
The White Horse Public House is a coaching inn dating from the early 19th century, with earlier flanking wings. The building features a three-storey central section that is three windows wide, constructed of painted brick with flint and red brick quoins at the rear. It has clay plaintile roofs, including a double pile hipped main roof with end chimneys. The windows are small-pane sash style with flat arches. There is a central entrance with an open 20th-century porch, and to the right of the entrance is a splayed two-storey flat-roofed bay window. To the left, there is a single-storey public bar with a steep plaintiled roof, likely from the 17th century, while the two-storey cottage and coach house to the right probably date from the 18th century.
