Description
Little Manor is a house dating from the early 15th century. It has 1½ storeys, attics, a timber-framed structure that is rendered, and a shingled roof with dormers. The building features a 2-bay hall that was originally open, with a cross-passage entry at the east end. The roof was initially hipped over the service end, which has a smoke gablet. The west cross wing may be original but has been altered. The hall's open truss includes massive arch-braces with multiple pegs and a crown-post, which is now located on the staircase. This crown-post is square-sectioned and has 4-way braces along with a crudely-cut abacus. The hall was floored over in the 16th century, and the service end was largely rebuilt in the mid-17th century. There were also alterations made to the east wing and other parts of the building in the late 19th century.
