Description
Risby Place is a farmhouse that features a small 16th-century timber-framed core, which was extended eastwards in the early 17th century. A significant extension was added around 1820 to the south side, creating a double-pile layout with six windows across two floors. The exterior has roughcast rendered walls, sash windows with external shutters, and a large 19th-century glazed timber-framed conservatory. The roof is hipped and covered with plain clay tiles. Inside, the 16th-century entrance hall includes a cross-passage entry and extensive early 17th-century oak panelling. The east room from the 17th century retains nearly complete oak panelling, and the roof at this end features principal rafters and butt purlins. The early 20th-century extensions primarily located at the west end are not considered of special interest.
