Description

No. 3 Hawstead Lane is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is one and a half storeys tall with attics and has a three-cell plan, although the parlour cell is now part of No. 4 Hawstead Lane. The building is timber-framed and has a rough-cast rendered exterior. It features a thatched roof with a gabled casement dormer, along with axial and gable chimneys made of rendered red brick. The windows are small-pane casements from the 20th century, and there is a boarded entrance door. This house is included in the listing for its group value.
