Description
Fentons Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse that stands two storeys high and features three windows. The building is constructed of painted brick and has a string course at the first floor. It has a hipped slated roof with end chimneys made of gault and red brick. The windows are designed with rendered flat arches that have raised keystones, and they include small-pane sashes, along with a small-pane casement located above the entrance. The entrance boasts a 19th-century glazed four-panelled door, which is topped by a semi-circular fanlight with radial glazing bars. An open entrance porch made of painted brick includes a cast iron panel at the head, with a segmental arch in the soffit. The front of the porch features raised and pierced motifs, including stars and crosses, and is topped with a central cast-iron finial that has scrolls supporting a spear-head.
