Description

No 7 Chippenham Road is a 17th-century cottage with a three-cell plan. It has one storey and an attic above the right-hand room, which may have originally extended over the central room as well. The cottage is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a hipped thatched roof featuring a rendered axial chimney. The windows are small-pane casements from the 20th century, and there is a boarded entrance door. There is evidence of a timber chimney that once stood on the site of the current brick chimney. Additionally, there is a blocked diamond-mullioned window in one of the end rooms.
