Description
Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It has two storeys and is constructed of timber framing that is rendered, featuring areas of decorative pargetting. The roof is thatched and has axial chimneys made of red brick. The windows are 3-light small-pane casements from the 19th and 20th centuries. The entrance door is a six-panel door from the early 19th century.
The central section of the building, which consists of two cells, dates back to the late 16th century and has substantial unmoulded framing, along with a wind-braced side-purlin roof. To the left, there is a small timber-framed cell that may be even older, which includes a thatched gabled staircase wing added around 1600. An early 19th-century parlour cell was added to the right, and to the left, there is a dairy with a cheeseloft above it.
