Description
Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century and later. It has a complex form with part two storeys and attics, and part one-and-a-half storeys. The main range features timber-framing that is partly encased in red brick and partly rendered. There are later red brick additions, and the roofs are steeply pitched and covered with slate. The main range consists of three cells and has an internal chimney stack, with the red brick shaft displaying two high arched and recessed panels. The windows are 20th century three-light casements with transoms.
At the front, there is a two-storey early 19th-century red brick addition that has its own roof and an end chimney stack. Each storey of this addition features a small-paned sash window in a cased frame. Between the two ranges, there is a two-storey red brick porch addition that includes a Georgian-style doorway. At the rear of the farmhouse, there is a one-and-a-half storey range with dormer windows.
