Crispen Cottage and adjoining premises is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house that has been converted into a range of cottages and was in the process of being restored at the time of the survey. The building is one storey with attics and features casement windows. It has a thatched roof with four gabled dormers. Crispen Cottage, Lidgate Stores, John O Lidgate's House, and the cottage to the north-west of Crispen Cottage, along with Lidgate Cottage, form a group.
