Description
This is a row of six cottages built in 1834, located on The Vinefields in Bury St Edmunds. The cottages are constructed from flint and red brick, topped with pantiled roofs. They feature three plain internal white brick chimney-stacks, each with six chimney-pots. The buildings are two storeys high and have a six-window range, with two-light sliding sashes that have segmental-arched heads and a single glazing-bar in each light. There are six boarded doors with vertical applied battens set in plain segmental-arched surrounds. A date panel on the south gable wall indicates that they were built by F. & F. Clark in 1834. This row of cottages remains completely unaltered. The interior has not been inspected.
