Description
The Shepherd and Dog Public House is an early to mid-19th century brick building that has been colourwashed. It stands two storeys high and features a four-window range, although one of the windows is blocked. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in plain reveals. The entrance doorway has a semi-circular arched head. The roof is covered with slate. This building is included in the listing for its group value, as it is part of a collection that includes the Post Office and store, The Thatch and adjoining cottage, Conifer Cottage, Seldon In, The Cottage (The Hill) and adjoining cottages, as well as High Bank and Chaumiere.
