Description
Barrow V.C. Primary School, built in 1846, consists of a single-storey schoolroom and a two-storey schoolhouse. The building is constructed of knapped flint with gault brick quoins and features parapet-gables adorned with moulded stone pendant finials. The roofs are slated, and there is a gault brick chimney with three circular shafts that are intricately carved with diaper, zig-zag, and corkscrew patterns, complete with moulded caps and bases. The large windows have splayed reveals and small-pane casements. The entrance includes a single-storey parapet-gabled porch with a boarded door and an arched fanlight above.
