Description

This is a console-type box tomb located in the Great Churchyard of Bury St Edmunds, dating from 1776. It commemorates several individuals: Alice Brown, who died in 1796; John Brown, M.D.; his wife Sarah, who passed away in 1831; Timona Fox, who died in 1776; Caroline Matilda, the wife of Rev. Thomas West, who died in 1844; and Rev. Thomas West, who died in 1850. The information is based on a survey of monuments in the Great Churchyard conducted around 1960 by West Suffolk County Council.
