Description

East Cottage is a house that likely dates from the early 17th century. It has one-and-a-half storeys and features a timber-framed and rendered front, with gable ends made of a mix of flint and red brick. The roof is half-hipped and covered with reed thatch. Inside, there is an internal chimney stack with a plain rebuilt shaft, and the entrance is through a lobby. The house has early 20th-century 2-light and 3-light casement windows designed in a traditional style, along with two pitched dormers. The front door is sheltered by a small early 20th-century porch, which has a roof made of black glazed pantiles. At the rear, there is a red brick wing.
