Description
Nos. 9-12 The Vinefields is a row of four cottages built in the mid-19th century. The walls are made of flint and random red brick, except for No. 9, which has been modernized and rendered, featuring a lean-to extension on the west side. The roofs are covered with black glazed pantiles. The cottages are two storeys high on the south side and three storeys on the north side, situated on a sloping site.
On the south side, there is a four-window range with 2-light small-paned casements that have segmental heads, except for No. 9, which has 20th-century windows. There are three boarded doors, and No. 9 has an added porch. On the north side, some windows are 20th-century replacements, but there are also original features, including two small-paned sliding sashes on the top storey. The interior has not been inspected.
