Description

The Packhorse Bridge, also known as Stone Bridge, is a structure that dates back to the 16th century. It is currently disused and lacks parapets. The bridge once carried the Icknield Way over a small tributary of the River Lark. It features a single segmental arch made of red brick, which includes gauged voussoirs and a core of flint rubble. The arch is approximately 2 metres wide and spans about 3 metres.
