Whitings is a cottage dating from the early 16th century, with remodelling that occurred in the late 17th century. It has one and a half storeys and a two-cell plan with a lobby entrance. The structure is timber-framed and rendered, featuring a thatched main roof and pantiles on a small single-storey extension to the left. The cottage has small-paned casement windows and one dormer, along with a fully enclosed porch added in the 20th century.
