Description
The boundary wall to the farmyard between Troston Hall and Hall Farmhouse is a notable structure from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with some rubble flint incorporated. The wall is quite tall and features a dentil cornice and brick coping. At both the north and south ends, as well as in the center, the wall includes crow-stepped gables from three farm buildings. The central building has been removed, leaving two remaining structures made of 19th-century red brick. Each crow-stepped gable has a slightly different design; the one at the north end is topped with a stone pineapple. The south end has a short section of wall that steps forward and is partially faced in rubble flint. Additionally, diamond-shaped ventilation holes are spaced along the wall at regular intervals.
