Description

Troston Cottage is a house built in the mid-19th century, consisting of two phases. The older section, constructed around 1850, features white brick and pantiles, with a brick pilaster at each end of the south front. It has three windows that are small-paned sashes set in deep reveals, topped with cast metal heads. An extension added around 1870 at the west end is designed in a Gothic style, characterized by rounded corners and arched heads on the ground floor window openings, which now have replacement windows. The building also includes a brick dentil cornice and flat pilasters between the windows. The entrance has double doors with panels of applied mouldings and a flat porch roof above.
