Description

Rowan Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the west side of Low Street in Bardwell. It is two storeys high, constructed with a timber frame and rendered exterior, topped with a pantiled roof. The cottage features a large end chimney stack with a tall rectangular shaft that has sunk panels. On the ground storey, there is a canted bow window with small panes, while the upper storey has a two-light casement window. The entrance is marked by a plank door that is topped with an open triangular pediment. This structure may be a fragment of a larger house.
