Description

This house, located 30 meters northeast of The Cottage (occupied by Mr. Rose), dates from the 18th century and may have originally been a pair of houses. It is timber framed and plastered with a thatched roof, consisting of two cells and standing one and a half storeys high. The building features two windows with standard small-paned casements from the 1970s. There is a lobby entry with an old boarded door and a simple gabled open porch. The stack has a small red brick shaft. On the left side, there is likely an original rear outshut with the roof extending over it. The interior has concealed timbers, with one chamfered ceiling beam and another encased. This house is included for its group value.
