Description

This is a late 16th and early 17th century farmhouse, originally a single building, now divided into two separate dwellings. The main range was extended to the right in 1977, creating the second dwelling. The building is timber framed with roughcast render and a roof of glazed black pantiles. The original part is two storeys high with an attic, while the 1977 extension is a single storey. Mid-20th century casement windows are found throughout. A two-storey, gabled addition dating from the 17th century projects forward from the main range, featuring a half-glazed entrance door in its side wall. Each section of the farmhouse has an internal stack. The interior of the main range has been modernized, but retains some original features including close studding on the ground floor and several blocked ovolo-moulded mullioned windows. A newel staircase is also present.
