Description

This is a terrace of three cottages, likely built in the late 18th century. The cottages are two storeys high and have five windows. They are constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior. The roof is hipped and thatched, featuring two axial chimneys; the left chimney is made of gault brick, while the right chimney is of 18th-century red brick, with some parts rebuilt in gault brick. The cottages mainly have 18th-century three-light casement windows. Micawber Cottage has a small-pane casement window from the mid-20th century at the first storey, and Lydgate Cottage has a 19th-century casement window at the ground storey. The entrance doors are boarded and battened and date from the 20th century. Teasel Cottage still has its 18th-century pediment and brackets.
