Description

Win's Cottage and La Reve are a pair of cottages, likely built in the late 18th century. They are two storeys high, with a timber-framed and plastered exterior. The cottages feature a hipped thatched roof and an axial chimney, which has been rebuilt in 19th century red brick. La Reve has 18th century three-light casement windows with boarded shutters on the ground floor, while Win's Cottage has mid-20th century three-light casements. La Reve also includes a 19th century boarded and battened door, adorned with an architrave that has reeded detailing and paterae at the corners. This doorway is positioned at a lobby-entrance, suggesting that the house may have originally been designed as a two-cell lobby-entrance plan before being subdivided.
