Description

Brook House is a house dating from the late 16th century, with significant alterations made in the late 19th century. It has two storeys and features two windows. The structure is timber-framed and encased in 19th-century painted brick. The roof is also from the 19th century, covered with plain tiles, and there is a red brick chimney at the rear. The windows are sashes with cambered heads and large panes. Under a full-length lean-to roof, there are two 19th-century square bay windows with casements, along with a four-panelled entrance door. Inside, the original 16th-century framing is exposed, showcasing tension braced close-studding and a blocked diamond mullioned window.
